Pokken Tournament DX Nintendo Switch Review

The Pokkén Tournament DX is one of the earliest fighting games on the Nintendo switch, the game features several pokemon characters that fight together on a 1 vs 1 battle.

The game has several mechanics that make it stand out among the other fighting games in the market, with smooth and fast reactive controls and specific pokemon themed fighting moves.

The game was developed with the collaboration of the tekken game developers also known as Namco Bandai, this gives the pokemon fighting game a much more polished and balanced fighting game than other games on the market.

Pokken Tournament DX Gameplay:

The gameplay is fast, colorful and frantic, this game has a cute and cool pokemon vibe to it, the gameplay controls are sharp and responsive like it should be with fighting games.

The Nintendo switch makes the game stand out because you can pick and play on the go and also at home.

I have tested the game while traveling with friends and we had a blast playing with each other on the roads, you can give each player a controller and start beating each other.

Pokken Tournament DX Gameplay Time:

To calculator this game lasting time we have splitted into 2 categories:

Finish the main story and unlock everything the game has to offer.

So how long does it take to beat the pokken tournament DX?

Around 15 hours for the main story And 4 times to complete all the extra site content, around 60 hours in total.

You will spend most of the time finishing weekly or daily missions and collecting in-game money to purchase cosmetic items from the store.

When talking about fighting games you can expect a relatively short story mode with infinite hours of fun playing against people around the world and in co-op gameplay sessions.

Why You Should Pick Pokken Tournament for Yourself:

The main reason is that the game is specifically made for pokemon fans in mind, the characters you control are actual pokemon and the game is highly balanced.

Since release the price of this game has slightly dropped and it is the perfect time to pick one copy for yourself, I have noted this game as a great pokemon birthday idea activity for pokemon fans due to the easy to pick and learn aspect of it.

Overall the Pokken tournament DX is a wonderful fighting game for the nintendo switch, with over 20 characters and plenty of fun (alone and co-op), this is one of the best pokemon games you can get for the switch.
