How to Complete the Pokemon First Partner Set
The total number of cards to collect inside the first partner packs reach 24, but the overall set includes 25 cards so where to get the last card?
The missing last card is actually Pikachu, in order to get the Pikachu jumbo card, you will have to get a special jumbo card binder. Also known as the “Pokemon 25th Anniversary First Partner Collector’s Binder”.
- (1 generation) – First Partner Pack (Kanto) – Bulbasaur, Charmander, and Squirtle
- (2 generation) – First Partner Pack (Johto) – Chikorita, Cyndaquil, and Totodile
- (3 generation) – First Partner Pack (Hoenn) – Treecko, Torchic, and Mudkip
- (4 generation) – First Partner Pack (Sinnoh) – Turtwig, Chimchar, and Piplup
- (5 generation) – First Partner Pack (Unova) – Snivy, Tepig, and Oshawott
- (6 generation) – First Partner Pack (Kalos) – Chespin, Fennekin, and Froakie

The Pokémon TCG: First Partner Collector’s Binder released before the rest of the partner packs on February 26, 2021, which makes pikachu the number 1 card in this set.
The binder has a unique 25 anniversary design to it with the “Train On” slogan, and it comes with the final first partner Jumbo card Pikachu.
How to get the Pokemon First Partner Jumbo set?
To start with the collection, I would recommend getting first the Pikachu jumbo binder, afterwards try to buy sealed first partner packs (some may be out of stock of expensive at this point).
Once you have a place to store the jumbo cards you can start hunting for the missing jumbo cards, try trading with local collectors near you or jump straight into online single card stores and hope they got the goods.
If you like to get your own Pokemon first partner packs or binder you are welcome to check the link below and get some for yourself:
My thoughts about the Pokemon First Partner collection are a bit mixed. Every card inside is a reprint of older card which means the only unique aspect to it is the golden 25 anniversary golden stamp.
Hopefully for the Pokemon 30th anniversary the Pokemon company will give us something a bit more original.
